I am a computational biologist specializing in genomics, machine learning, and precision health. I earned my PhD in Bioinformatics from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and have worked across academic and industry research, most recently at Genentech, using computational genomics and machine learning to develop gene therapies and advance translational research. As Scientific Lead for Computational Biology and AI in Precision Health in the Turvey Lab, I develop and apply computational approaches to uncover the genetic and molecular causes of rare diseases and help translate these discoveries into potential treatments. I am particularly interested in integrating multi-omic data to understand how disease-causing variants alter cellular function and using AI approaches to identify opportunities for precision therapy and drug repurposing. Outside of science, I enjoy football (sorry, I won’t say soccer), cycling, Magic: The Gathering, and spending time with my family.
